NURSING SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

CRITERIA FOR HANA SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

 

1. The student must be of Haitian descent.

2. The student must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.

3. The student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0. An official transcript must be submitted with the scholarship application.

4. The student must submit a written essay of at least one page, describing the reasons why he or she has selected Nursing as a profession. The essay must be received no later than March 07, 2008 via e-mail at info@hana84.org. or mail to P.O. Box 694933, Miami, Florida, 33269

5. The student must be interviewed by HANA’s Education Committee to determine eligibility. Interviews will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at St. Bartholomew Church Library, 8005 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, Florida 33025 at 5:30PM.

Awards will be presented at HANA’s 24^th Anniversary Gala, which will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at J.W. Marriott Hotel, 1109 Brickell Avenue, Miami, Florida at 7:00 p.m.

Nursing Scholarships are awarded once a year in April.  Eligible applicants will receive a one-time  scholarship, which will be awarded at this auspicious event.
