- The student must be of Haitian descent.
- The student must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
- The student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0. An official transcript must be submitted with the scholarship application.
- The student must submit a written essay of at least one page, describing the reasons why he or she has selected Nursing as a profession. The essay must be received no later than March 12, 2010 via e-mail at info@hana84.org. or mail to P.O. Box 694933, Miami, Florida, 33269
- The student must be interviewed by HANA’s Education Committee to determine eligibility. Interviews will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at St. Bartholomew Church Library, 8005 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, Florida 33025 at 5:30PM.
Nursing Scholarships are awarded once a year in April. Eligible applicants will receive a one-time scholarship, which will be presented at HANA’s 26th Anniversary Fundraising Scholarship and Awards Gala that will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at J.W.
